WWE's Wrestlemania weekend draws up a frenzy of news, rumors and WWE alumni appearances. Among Ric Flair's Hall of Fame appearance, Shawn Michaels appearing as the special-guest referee and The Rock vs. John Cena, there have been several rumors of WWE returns.
Prince Albert, also known as the A-Train, has been appearing in vignettes as Lord Tensai, but this is not the biggest confirmed return for Wrestlemania and the following weeks. Check out the top five most wanted returns including some heavily rumored returns of former WWE Champions.
Batista
The "Animal" Batista has focused on his acting career over the past couple of years, but he is due for a return in the WWE. Rumors have circulated that the WWE Superstar is already in Miami and he could really shake up the roster if he returns. Batista would fit great in a feud with Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes or CM Punk. Even if he just has a run-in during Wrestlemania XXVIII, it would create a make a huge surprise and impact on the show.
Brock Lesnar
Ever since Brock Lesnar left the WWE after Wrestlemania XX, rumors have circulated about his potential return. Lesnar spent several years in the UFC, but recently he has come to good terms with the WWE.
Lesnar appears in the WWE '12 video game and his return would spark a huge rivalry between himself, The Rock or even John Cena. Lesnar has become even more popular since his time in the UFC and a stint in the WWE would make huge headlines.
Rey Mysterio
Mysterio has been making appearances at WWE functions all week, but fans would love to see an in-ring return at Wrestlemania XXVIII. Mysterio has had on and off injuries for several years and his next return to the WWE could be his last. Missing stars like Mysterio and Sin Cara has taken a lot of high fliers off the WWE roster and a Wrestlemania appearance would be great.
The Ultimate Warrior
Some backstage drama will never go away, but it's finally time for Vince McMahon and Ultimate Warrior to make up once and for all. Just like at Wrestlemania XII and Wrestlemania VIII, the crowd went nuts for the Warrior's surprise returns.
Hearing the music and seeing him run down the aisle at Wrestlemania would make history and create buzz that the WWE hasn't seen in a long time. Although highly unlikely, a rare Warrior appearance is a nostalgic fan's dream.
Shelton Benjamin
Spending the week preparing for Wrestlemania XXVIII has uncovered a truly underrated talent in the form of Shelton Benjamin. The current ROH star has provided several Wrestlemania moments himself including his trendsetting moves during the first ever Money in the Bank ladder match at Wrestlemania 21.
Benjamin will be in town during Wrestlemania, but the ROH contract will likely prevent him from appearing on the show. The Superstar never quite left the mid-card, but with the proper push he could be one of the top WWE talents.
