Nate Marquardt’s unexpected, last-minute withdrawal from a scheduled main event against Rick Story leaves two heavyweights in the spotlight.

Patrick Barry (Pictured, File Photo) tipped the scales at 243 pounds for his matchup with French kickboxer Cheick Kongo (234.4) in the revised UFC Live 4 headliner on Sunday at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. The six other men slated for duty on the main card -- including Story (170.4) and Marquardt’s replacement, Charlie Brenneman (170.6) -- also met their mandatory weight requirements at Saturday’s official weigh-in.

Marquardt was not cleared to fight for reasons that were not immediately known. The former middleweight King of Pancrase was primed for his drop to the 170-pound division.

UFC Live 4 -- which airs live on the Versus network at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT -- also features a welterweight matchup pitting “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 7 alum Matt Brown (170) against John Howard (170.2) and a heavyweight duel pairing the undefeated Matt Mitrione (261.1) with Christian Morecraft (261.4). The seven preliminary bouts will be streamed on the UFC’s Facebook page at 4:55 p.m. ET/1:55 p.m. PT: Tyson Griffin (145.8) vs. Manny Gamburyan (145.8), Joe Stevenson (146) vs. Javier Vazquez (145.8), Joe Lauzon (156) vs. Curt Warburton (155.6), Daniel Roberts (170.6) vs. Rich Attonito (170), Charles Oliveira (153.8) vs. Nik Lentz (155.6), Ricardo Lamas (145.4) vs. Matt Grice (145.2) and Michael Johnson (155.2) vs. Edward Faaloloto (155.4).

There are far bigger, more relevant fighters to main event a mixed martial arts card than James Te Huna and Nate "The Great" Marquardt. However, when it comes to sheer desperation, Te Huna and Marquardt should have plenty. Both men are on a losing streak and can ill-afford another loss. That dynamic could make the feature bout of UFC Fight Night 43 in New Zealand a smashing affair. This card will be exclusively broadcast Saturday, June 28, on UFC Fight Pass. Click here for details.
