An injury has sidelined Antonio Rogerio Nogueira for his upcoming fight at UFC 133, and the promotion is now seeking a replacement to face Rich Franklin.

UFC President Dana White announced the news on Twitter late Saturday night.

The nature of Nogueira’s injury is unknown right now, but the timing couldn’t be much worse.

UFC 133 has been riddled with injuries over the last week, losing main event fighter Phil Davis just days ago, and now the co-main event is searching for a replacement as well.

Rich Franklin is expected to stay on the card against a new opponent, but the UFC has yet to announce who that might be.

MMAWeekly.com will have more information on Nogueira’s replacement when it becomes available.
