Anthony Pettis vs. Clay Guida Agreed To Headline TUF 13 Finale

“Showtime” will have a chance to not only debut in the UFC, but also introduce himself to the Spike TV audience at the same time. Anthony Pettis and Clay Guida have agreed to meet at “The Ultimate Fighter Season 13? finale set to go down on June 4 in Las Vegas.

The long rumored bout is only a couple of signatures away from being official, as both fighters have verbally agreed to the match-up, and sources indicated to MMAWeekly.com that bout agreements have been issued. MMAJunkie.com initially reported the date for the fight.

Pettis will make his UFC debut after a showstopper performance to end his time with the WEC, landing the now infamous “Showtime” kick to help win a five-round decision over Ben Henderson at WEC 53 in December 2010.

Pettis was in line to face the winner of Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard, but a draw forced a third bout between the two title contenders. The last-ever WEC lightweight champion opted to take another fight instead of sitting and waiting.

He’ll have no easy test when he steps into the Octagon against Clay Guida, one of the toughest match-ups in the lightweight division.

Guida has faced a who’s who list of opponents during his time with the UFC, and recently submitted former Pride champion Takanori Gomi at UFC 125, extending his winning streak to three.

The lightweight showdown is expected to headline the card in Las Vegas to cap off the 13th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show coached by Junior Dos Santos and Brock Lesnar.
