Andrei Arlovski has his first opponent under the new Pro Elite banner.

The former UFC heavyweight champion will face Ray Lopez in the main event of the upcoming Pro Elite show scheduled for Aug 27 in Hawaii.

Sources close to the event confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday. MMAFighting.com first reported the bout.

Who is Ray Lopez may be the question most fans are asking right now.

Lopez is a 5-2 pro fighter out of Michigan who also has a past in the pro boxing world. His last fight was a first round TKO victory over Rob Morrow in King of the Cage.

Arlovski returns to action after losing his last four fights in a row including three by knockout or TKO.

The Belarus native has recommitted himself to training and will work full time with coaches Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn in New Mexico as he gets ready for his return at Pro Elite in August.

More fights are expected to be announced for the upcoming card in the next few weeks.
