The "Spider" believes Lyoto Machida will take Chris Weidman's title at UFC 173 and he approves of the TRT ban in MMA.

Former champ Anderson Silva is confident that Lyoto Machida will beat Chris Weidman and become the new UFC middleweight champion. According to the "Spider" in an interview to Combate.com, the "Dragon" has what is needed to win the title fight in UFC 173 on May 24, 2014:

Lyoto has a good team. I believe a lot in Lyoto. We are close friends. This belt needs to be in Brazil. Weidman is a great athlete but there isn't too much secret about fighting him. Lyoto has great chances of winning because Weidman is a normal guy, he has no weapons to threaten Lyoto. Weidman is good in the game that he trains, very good. But Lyoto has a game that's hard to deal with, he moves very well.

The former UFC 185-pound champion also gave his thoughts about the TRT prohibition.

My opinion about TRT is that if you need to do a replacement therapy is because you are too old to practice the kind of sport that you do. I think it isn't fair the athletes that don't do TRT to fight against those that are doing the therapy.

In process of recovering from a leg injury after his loss to Chris Weidman in UFC 168 last December, Anderson Silva said this week that he will not fight in 2014.
