Former middleweight champion Anderson Silva was scheduled to face Uriah Hall at UFC 198 on May 14 in Curitiba, Brazil, but four days before the event Silva was forced off the fight card.
“The Spider” underwent successful gallbladder surgery and posted the following photo to his Facebook page showing the aftermath of the surgical procedure.

The 41-year-old held the 185-pound title from 2006 to 2013 and defended it a record-setting ten times. He vowed to “be back soon.”
