Former UFC Middleweight Champion and future UFC hall of famer Anderson Silva has taken the next step in his rehabilitation from a broken leg suffered at UFC 168 against current champ Chris Weidman.

"The Spider" posted a video to YouTube on Sunday to show fans he has begun sparring and training boxing with his coach Edelson at Team Noguiera, and continues to be on target to return to the Octagon in early 2015.

Silva spoke with a young fan in the video who was watching him train, explaining that he's better now and he'll be fine. He said right now he can't kick or jump, but he still expects to be back next year.

"Hi guys, I'm here in Team Nogueira training boxing with my coach Edelson," Silva said in the video. "I'm coming soon. I'm my country, in my home, in team Nogueira. I will show a lot of things for you."

Silva is no doubt one of the most decorated champions in UFC history, defending his belt a record 10 times. He went a perfect 16-0 in the UFC before two losses to Weidman in 2013.

At the end of the video, Silva had a message for his fans as he continues to move forward toward a return to the UFC.

"Quitting is taking an eternal defeat," Silva said. "In Team Nogueira, we never give up - strength, honor and determination are fundamental. Here at Team Nogueira, we are family. Ready and determined to do that, we have to do. Never give up and never surrender. Believe that we can and like you too - believe that you can, exceed your limits, overcome problems, and believe."
