Alexander Gustafsson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira headlines UFC Fight Night 100 on Nov. 19

A light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will headline November’s UFC Fight Night 100 fight card, which marks the organization’s final trip to Brazil this year.

UFC officials announced the bout on tonight’s UFC Fight Night 95 broadcast on FS1.

UFC Fight Night 100 takes place Nov. 19 at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo. The event airs on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.

Gustafsson (17-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) is coming off a successful return to action after coming up short in a title fight with 205-pound champ Daniel Cormier at UFC 192 in October. He defeated Jan Blachowicz by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 93 earlier this month, using a wrestling-heavy game plan to take the fight on points.

“The Mauler,” No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA light heavyweight rankings, snapped a two-fight losing skid with the win and is hoping to trend toward a third UFC title shot.

Nogueira (22-7 MMA, 5-4 UFC), meanwhile, came back from a long layoff of his own when he defeated Patrick Cummins by first-round TKO at UFC 198 in May. The longtime veteran has been inactive with just five fights in five years, but will attempt to claim contender status by taking out Gustafsson.

The latest UFC Fight Night 100 card now includes:

  • Alexander Gustafsson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
  • Pedro Munhoz vs. Justin Scoggins
