A holiday in tweets: How the MMA community celebrated

Even though MMA fighters batter each other inside a cage for the entertainment of millions around the globe, they are still, after all, people.

And like most people around this time of the year, fighters are spending their time celebrating the holidays with drinks, food, presents and time with loved ones.

Well, maybe with the exception of those cutting weight and finalizing preparation for “UFC 168: Weidman vs. Silva II,” which goes down this Saturday night from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

While few hard-hitting new stories crossing the wire today, it felt right to put together a light-spirited compilation see how some of the MMA community’s most notable fighters and personalities enjoyed Christmas Day.
