fallon-fox.jpgAs expected AXS TV will air next month’s Championship Fighting Alliance 11 event, which includes Fallon Fox‘s next fight and a heavyweight headliner between Mike Kyle (19-9-1) and Valentijn Overeem (32-30).

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) first reported the likelihood earlier this month, and AXS TV officially announced it Friday.

The event takes place May 24 at BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Fla. It marks the Florida-based promotion’s debut on AXS TV.

Fox (2-0), a transgender fighter whose career has sparked weeks of debate, competes in the semifinal round of a women’s featherweight tournament. She meets Allana Jones (2-1) in the night’s co-headliner.

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which oversees the state’s athletic commission, recently launched an investigation but found insufficient evidence to prove Fox committed fraud prior to her most recent bout. Fox, who underwent sexual reassignment surgery in 2006, applied for a fight license as a woman prior to a March 2 bout with Ericka Newsome, which she won by first-round knockout in the first round of the CFA tournament.

Kyle, meanwhile, most recently fought in January, when he got a long-delayed Strikeforce fight against light heavyweight Gegard Mousasi. The fight ended quickly with Mousasi earning a first-round submission. Competing at heavyweight and light heavyweight, Kyle, a former UFC and WEC fighter, was on a 5-1 run (with one no-contest) prior to the setback.

Overeem, meanwhile, fought in Russia this past December and suffered his second consecutive loss, which put his post-Strikeforce record at 1-2. Along with his older brother, UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem, he was one of several fighters the UFC released amid a dispute between MMA team Golden Glory and UFC parent Zuffa. He went 1-1 under the Strikeforce banner.

The televised main card for CFA 11 includes:
