The UFC lists "striking downward using the point of the elbow" as an illegal strike. I don't see downward elbow only to the head listed, do you smart ass. That strike to any part of the body is illegal.

Ok, simple logic, no 12-6 to the body has been considered a foul, nor have I seen a fighter in the UFC been deducted a point or disqualified. To the head I have. Simple logic, broken ribs are repairable, brain damage aint. Idiot.

Herb Dean same guy reffing this fight warned Cheick Kongo for 12-6 elbows to the body against Paul Buentello. No one said that delivering them to the body was more dangerous but just as illegal.

yeah, no its definitely not illegal. many fighters throw 12-6 elbows to the head of their opponent if they are on the bottom with their opponent in their guard.

this elbow which you talking about is 9-3 not 12-6 ;)

I am referring to when the fighter on the bottom throws elbows (such as Kenny Florian has been known to do) the rule on elbows says downward elbows are illegal. the elbows i am referring to come DOWN onto the fighters head. Reverse the fighters' positions and the elbows would be illegal. Either way, the elbow Anderson threw here was not illegal.

Osteen, 12 to 6 refers to the motion of the elbow coming down literally from the ceiling to the floor i.e. with the aid of gravity. What you described is not what the UFC regards as '12 to 6'.
