the reason they say dont hit the back of the head is to protect the yoke sack and the spine that elbow missed both. that elbow is clean must feel like a getting hit with a corner of a coffee table.

If you are ducking or turning away from a strike and it happens to hit you in the back of the head it is perfectly legal. As long as it is not clearly intentional there is absolutely no problem with it.

Wasn't intentionally to the back of the head, it was actually to the side of the head, Stefan Bonnar almost moved into a position where it would have hit him in the back of the head.
