The Spider, what can I say...He is pure class & a fighting genius, I've seen everyone of his fights since his mecca days, when he was a skinny young man!! He has not changed his style & only his ground game has improved. He started from the bottom & worked his way up to be the best P4P fighter in the history of mma!! To me he doesnt have to change divisions as he doesnt have to prove anything, most UFC fighters are a joke & he proved that against Griffin. True mma fighters have the skills in martial arts not kickboxing, boxing & wrestling!! As you see today the best fighters have the pedegree in karate, mauy thai & bjj!!! So A.S and Machida would never happen as they are brothers & they will both rule there divisions for years to come...It's not A.S fault he destroys everyone, Dana White needs to bring in true mma talent for Silva to fight & make 195lbs class!!!

Fedor should be number 1 on this list. ALL his stats are 9 or better. Silva got knocked out in 1 of his 2 only boxing matches. He's also been submitted twice, lost by decision, and was disqualified for an illegal blow. Silva is a freak, but not # 1. I would put him at #3 behind GSP. I feel GSP has fought tougher opponents(Matt Hughes and BJ Penn come to mind) than Silva up to now and Silva's weight class is VERY thin. However, GSP has been knocked out as well. So, the only undefeated man(30+ fights) in MMA should have top fighter honors. Silva is the "sexy" choice. Just my 2 cents.

I beg to differ. Silva has fought whomever had the balls to challenge him. Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin come to mind. Fedor has also lost (just recently in fact) and Silva hasn't lost since... Don't worry I'll wait. And GSP? Come on man. He is an amazing fighter, but far from beastly. He just has a ground game second to none. In a stand up, I would even put Penn ahead of GSP. It's also a fact that since his inception into the UFC, Silva has knocked out 7 of his 11 opponents, only taking it to a decision twice. Any Maia is just lucky to have caught Silva on a day that he was being criticized for knocking opponents out too fast or he wouldn't have made it out of the second round by the looks of it. But I know you're paying him his due respect but I just feel it necessary to not count him out as, if not THE, a contender for the p4p best fighter title.

Lately Silva displays have been pitfull, and as a fan i found myself wishing he was kocked out last fight, so maybe he would realise what he's doing...
But thing is he's a man, capable of loosing sight for a moment, and with every1 saying ur the best in the world, that isn't that hard to happen...but as a man he's also capable of realising what a jackass he's beeing, and give us a better fight next time...i realy hope this happens soon, and when it does, it will defenatly be a fight worth watching...

Silva is one of the best fighters ever. He is almost impossible to stop right now... Some guy happen to almost get lucky last fight.... he won the lottery even doing what he did to silva and still losing.... that's that.

anderson is the best fighter period and he has nothing to prove his record speaks for itself it dont matter if he is white, black, or whatever he is the best. I would like to see him fight more at 205 cause he has 185 easy. He has beat every 205er he faced, how bout a title shot.
