One of the reasons he is so good is that he has enpaxded beyond the confines of shotokan. There is a reason that few in MMA have a shotokan base. I went to brown belt as a shotokan student, and it is not relevant to actual fighting. Point fighting yes, but not full contact with takedowns. You must be mixed, and Machida is definitely a mixed martial artist. His unique traditional background is a help. It's almost as if he coaxes his opponents into a point fight. Incredible fighter.

I know Thiago ate it. I know because I fought. He could have cleaned his clock and he knows it too. Hey, Thiago, is it worth it??? You can't lie to me... You could have ended rashad's career, but you didn't. or should I say you wouldn't... I know for a fact Thiago held back in the last half of the third round when he knew he could have ended rashad's career....

Evans should spar without getting rich. Obviously Silva took a dive, only in a sparring situation. This feels too much like a thrilla in manilla....

thiago is in dire straits. I responded heatedly earlier in the post. The best UFC fighters are, in redneck order, like this: BE EXCELLENT, Be Honest, be nice, be kind, be smart, be cunning, be honest, be kind, be honest, be smart, be honest, be honest, be honest, be honest ad infinitum..............

Im going with Lyoto 100%. Shogun is an amazing fighter by far. But since being in the UFC he hasnt impressed me once, The fight between him and coleman was horrible on his part, And i didnt like his fight with chuck. I think this is his biggest fight ever in a way, Hes beat bigger names then Lyoto of course but none of them are as evasive as lyoto. They pretty much wanna stand an go toe to toe lyoto dont just stand there an fight you like rampage an overeem. Lyoto is over patient an waits for his finishing time unlike anyone ruas fought. Also i think lyotos power is overly under rated he completely over powers almost everyone he fights for example Tito, titos a pretty strong guy but just couldnt handle lyoto i wish people would give him more credit in the strength catagory.

Yeah me too i'm going to have to go with Lyoto on this one , in his last 2 fights he didn't impress me that much , In the Coleman fight he couldn't knock out a 40+ year old man when he was completly gased (And how in the hell did they win fight of the night ???!!?!?!) , his fight with Liddell was also dissapointing Liddell was at the end of his down fall Shogun won by TKO but not in devastating fashion , but he is still one of the best Muay Thai artists in the game still. And your absolutly right about Lyoto he's very patient with his attacks he waits for an opening and then BAM! he hits you with a head kick and your on your ass without even knowing what the hell happened . It's going to be a very intense fight. But you know if the UFC alows Soccer kicks and Stomps then i think it will be a different story if he can get Lyoto to the ground.(By the way i'm a huge fan of Wanderlei Silva too bad the UFC don't alow Stomps he dominated his opponents back in Pride because of them. Still can't wait to see him fight again ... If he ever fights again)

He can be if Joe Silva doesn't screw him over again.
